Hey Everyone,
Sorry I haven't written in a couple of days. We started the
internship portion of our advertising program and it has been super busy (but really exciting) so far. On Wednesday we went to a beautiful old building in the area near Prague Castle and basically sat through lectures all day. Some of it was pretty dry, but for the most part, it was really helpful. A representative from McCann-Erickson, the advertising company we are working for, came and briefed us right after lunch and gave us some really helpful statistics and information about the product for which we are creating an integrated marketing plan. Our product is a powdered chocolate drink mix called Granko. It is a Nestle product and a classic favorite here in the Czech Republic. Next, a representative from Nestle came in and gave us our creative brief and the basic goals for our marketing plan. So that was about it for the day yesterday. Last night was
my first experience with the nightlife in Prague, and it was amazing! A couple of other girls and I went to two really great clubs in the Old Town area of Prague. The first one we went to was on the roof of an old building and had the best view of the city from
the balcony. The second club was a five story dance club with a different music theme on each floor. We had a blast, but were a little tired when we had to be ready to go work on our project by 9 a.m. today. We spent today viewing Granko displays in retail shops and then working on our projects with our groups. It was a productive day and we are in a really good place with our campaign! Thanks for reading, and I'll try to update again tomorrow!
Sarah
