First Weekend in Prague

Prague is such a great city! On Friday, we spent the entire day working on our campaign, which is coming along quite nicely. Hopefully it will continue to come together for our presentation to the client (Nestle) this coming Friday. We had lunch at a cute little place near our class building called atmosphere. It is amazing how there is a restaurant everywhere you look, and from what I've seen so far, they are all delicious and very reasonably priced. For lunch, I usually only spend about 120 CzK, which is the equivalent of 6 dollars, and I have yet to spend over 12 dollars on dinner, which usually includes wine or beer and and appetizer or dessert. It's a good thing I can eat cheap, though, because some of the night clubs we have been to are pretty expensive. On Friday night, we got our whole group together and went to a little jazz lounge because one of the Czech students we are working with was playing there. It was so much fun! Then, we moved on to Klub Duplex, which is on the roof of an old building near Wenceslas Square. We danced the night away and it was a really great time. It turned out to be a pretty late night, and the sun rises here at this time of year before 4 a.m., so we decided that it was a good idea to hike up to Prague Castle and watch the sun come up over all of Prague before we hopped on the metro to go home. It was actually a great idea. A picture can't even do it justice, but I'm including one anyway. Saturday was kind of a lazy day. We mostly hung around the apartment and did some work on our project. Saturday night, we went to a beer garden to watch the world cup game. When we walked in, the place was absolutely packed (these Europeans really like their soccer!). We had a great time though. Today (Sunday) I've just been doing some work on our project and running a few errands. Tonight, however, our Czech friends are taking us to a karaoke bar (this should be interesting!). It should be a pretty fun night, but then it's back to work tomorrow! I'll let you know how the karaoke situation turns out.
